If the truth ends the relationship, at least your business will still have its pride and tact in place.

Aside from these precautions, you have to trust the person a bit and hope that things turn out for the better. Do you fall to insults or name-calling even if the other party does and try not to take things personally? Sometimes business partnerships don’t work out or people do not mesh well together.
